Here's a few more words and pictures about the restoration of Bea the Beetle. More to follow as the restoration progresses.

16th February 2002

Here's Bea looking pretty much finished, in fact she's got a fresh MOT certificate and ready to venture out on the open road once again. Just need to pick up a Tax disc on the way!

Out in the open and we get to see the colour in daylight (albeit foggy) for the first time.

Three quarter rear view. The old wheels are still on Bea at the moment. New wheels are still being polished.

Bea has one of Kerry's VW Evolution badges which is obviously based on the Karmann badge. Only full restorations by Kerry get these badges.

Bea arrives back home safely and lines up with our other cars (except the red transit) for a quick photo opportunity! We now realise just how bright the Comedy Bus really is !

28th February 2002

Wheels back from the polishers (Griff's Motorcycle Services) looking absolutely great after chemical stripping, polishing, and a re-anodise. Now all we need is some paint on the unpolished sections, and some tyres.

2nd March 2002

Before taking the wheels to Kerry for painting, we double check that they're going to fit ok with the new wheel bolts. Everything looks fine, including the reflection of Benson the Range Rover in Bea's shiny paint work!
