I have to say that Benson is in excellent condition for a car his age, and it's all down to the work that his previous owner put in. He originally bought Benson for £700 from a boat marina, and within a matter of weeks had stripped Benson back to bare chassis, and started a rebuild, which took 2 years. During which Benson had some major surgery. Chassis and axles, shot blasted and repainted. Inner wings, rear frame, bottom tailgate, and sills replaced. Body resprayed both inside and out. The engine and transmission were left virtually untouched as the engine had already been rebuilt, but the carbs have been stripped, cleaned, and re-setup |
